“Ana amazing dinner at no name. They catered perfectly for ceoliac and gluten free. The food was lovely with great attention to detail. Lovely staff. And a lovely vibe 10/10”
“Booked for belated valentines. Atmosphere is nice and staff are pleasant, could maybe do with explaining the menus and recommendations on arrival (we didn't ask in fairness). We had the starters of goats cheese with dukka and the ham hock croquette with cheese sauce both tasted great but the ham hock was my favorite. Mains we had the beef cheek and the seabass. The wife liked the beef cheek but thought the rosti was a little over, I thought the seabass was nice and fresh however the skin wasn't crispy and it lacked a little acidity. For dessert we had the basque chocolate cheesecake which was lovely and very rich we both thought that it needed some fruit or something to break that richness. Overall a good experience but possibly it felt like it might be down to what is on the menu on the night you go that would lead the reviews. We based our review against our time at Bench and both agreed that Bench just pipped it. Overall experience was good and we would consider going back to see if anything is different.”
“Small independent with fantastic food quality and service. It’s cash only and bring your own drink (with very reasonable corkage) but that is very clear on booking. The menu gives good spread of options for a kitchen of this size, but when the food lands it’s top notch. Had the slow cooked lamb which was succulent with depth of flavour and the jus had beautiful flavours and mirror sheen. Would highly recommend.”
“Wow… amazing food and certainly lived up to expectations. As you will know, it is a very small restaurant but that adds to the charm and appeal. Olives and bread to start are a must. I went for fish and fish, which I had no regrets about although the ham hock looked (and tasted) superb. Will be back here - cash only and BYO.”
“This is such a little gem of a place. Cannot knock anything about the place other than it is compact. There are approximately 4 starters 4 mains and 3 puddings to choose from. It's bring your own and cash only. I would definitely return as food was amazing.”
